Cindy VandenBosch and David Naczycz are the cofounders of Urban Oyster, a company dedicated to seeking out and sharing the hidden pearls of New York City through walking tours and other experiences. An anthropologist at-heart and storytelling enthusiast, Cindy has worked with the Tenement Museum, the Museum at Eldridge Street, and the Slave Galleries Project on tour development and delivery, and also creates hands-on experiences throughout the city for children who are blind or have low vision for City Access New York. David is a dedicated urbanist and amateur historian who loves cities and their histories he also provides tours of the West Village and Central Park and is currently developing other Brooklyn tours.
Adam Schwartz teaches Urban Studies at the Bushwick Academy of Urban Planning. A devoted scholar of history and geography, Adam curated the “Up from Flames” exhibition at the Brooklyn Historical Society in the summer of 2007.
Coordinator of Urban Tours at Brooklyn's former Center for the Urban Environment for 14 years, Brooklyn native Ruth Edebohls is a licensed New York City Tour Guide and urban historian with a special interest in Green-Wood Cemetery.
