Navy Yard Oral History Project
The Historical Center
aims to collect, preserve and share with the public all
periods of the Yard's history. We have launched an oral
history project to gather interviews with people who
lived and worked at the Yard through the Second
World War, the 1950's, and the period of the Yard's
controversial decommissioning in 1966. Our first topic
of study is "Women in the Navy Yard during World
War II."
