Job Title: Environmental Laborer
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary: $18 p/h
A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking an Environmental Laborer to join their team to assist with a number of tasks:
Responsibilities:
-Disposal of hazardous wastes
-Clean areas of construction
-Take water samples for the labs
-Transport heavy items from one facility to another via forklift
-Expedite checklist for production
-Transporting drums from vessels using a fork truck/lift
Must Haves:
-Experience in a Construction Laborer or Cleanup capacity within construction
-Go getter that can take charge of a situation
-Exude confidence in a short period of time
-Flexibility – Hours – 7-4PM but may need to come in on Saturdays to take samples
-Coachable and willing to learn
-Self-starter and self-directed
Will become certified in:
RCRA
FDNY Fitness
Hazmat training
Starting rate – $18/hr
After Completion of Training – $22/hr
Eligible for rate hike at 3 months
