Job Title: Fulfillment and Receiving Associate
Salary: $22/hr.
The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400+ businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields.
A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based clothing and accessories fashion design studio is currently seeking a part-time temporary Fulfillment and Receiving Associate. The company is a conscientious clothing company that creates menswear-inspired apparel designed to fit a range of female, trans and non-binary folks.
Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented, part time temporary fulfillment and receiving associate for 10-20 hrs a week. Potential for additional hours in peak holiday times.
Options to work Mondays-Saturdays.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Fulfillment

Pick and pack outgoing orders

Utilize our shipping platform to fulfill orders

Build shipping boxes

Conduct rotating inventory checks on current products

Check and document the work of others according to established guidelines

Conduct quality control checks on outbound and inbound products
-
Recognize and reconcile inventory discrepancies and report and communicate about it both internally and externally

Prepare and track daily, weekly and monthly metrics as assigned

Utilize technology platforms (including, but not limited to Loop, Gorgias, Google)

Communicate with customers regarding issues related to fulfillment
Receiving

Organize the product in the warehouse and maintain a clean and safe work environment

Complete inventory counts and organizing inventory in incoming goods
-
Maintain organized and accurate records
-
Breaking down packaging materials and disposing of them afterwards
-
Lifting and organizing boxes (occasionally up to ~100 lbs, anything over 50 lbs should be a team lift)

Assist in the processing of bulk production shipment
Returns
-
Manage and process returned inventory and restock once it is processed

Collect packages from the central mail area

Label and sort return packages upon their arrival

Use our returns platform to confirm the content, check for damages and restock when applicable

Process the returned goods, steaming, folding, repackaging, and placing back into inventory
Skills include, but are not limited to:

1-2 years of proven shipping and fulfillment experience

Proficient with MS Office Suite, able to navigate Ship Station and other shipping web platforms

Basic math skills and professional verbal/written communication skills

Motivated, self-starter with excellent work ethic

Must be highly efficient and detail oriented
