Salary: $22/hr.

The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400+ businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields.
A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based consumer-tech hardware startup is seeking a Mechanical Engineer. The company’ s passion is biking, and their mission is to make cycling easier by offering the public affordable and accessible e-bike technology.
The company is seeking a motivated individual available to join our Engineering team at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, full time, in August 2023.
The main tasks will include:
  • Implementing manufacturing procedures that effectively satisfy quality and quantity requirements to assemble CLIP devices
  • Following CLIP’s guidances to quality check the assembled devices
  • Packing and Shipping assembled devices to our customers in the US
  • Participating in Research & Development
  • Acting as Office/Inventory Manager
Junior engineers or recent graduates in mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering open to gaining on-the-job work experience are highly encouraged to apply.
Work period is August 2023. Hours of work is 40 hours/week, full time, in-person (Preferred)
Salary: Competitive compensation.
We are looking for:
  • Candidates with experience in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering projects, or students with a degree in BS/MS
  • Process driven individuals who are able to follow guidances
  • Manually skilled individuals who are able to work fast with their hands
  • Know how to ride a bike
  • Successful candidates are able to come in-person to the Navy Yard from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team to complete assigned tasks within a tightly scheduled time frame
  • Demonstrated ability to be hands on and a “can do” approach
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well with multiple disciplines and management levels
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (CPT/OPT accepted)
