A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based business is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler.
The Electromechanical Assembler is a dedicated and meticulous team member who places a strong emphasis on quality control. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical components and systems while ensuring that all products adhere to our rigorous quality standards.
Please note: You will be sent to be trained in our office in Hollister, California for 2-4 weeks upon hire. Upon completion of your training you will be working in Brooklyn, New York.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble mechanical parts, subassemblies, and systems according to detailed
specifications and instructions.
• Basic soldering; through-hole soldering
• Read and interpret schematics, drawings and prints to assemble and install electrical wiring,
cabling, and other mechanical or electrical components
• Ensure all work is completed on time and within scheduled targets
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and install electrical components such as modified
cabling, PCB’s, Performance Motion Devices
• Documentation and reporting of work performed and issues discovered for process
optimization
• Maintaining 5S standards
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Good mechanical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Creative and self-motivated
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Structured Cabling Experience
• Hand Dexterity
• Ability to organize efficiently
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of quality control software and MS Office
Education and Experience
• High School diploma or GED
• At least 3 years of experience in professional electrical and mechanical assembly
