A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist. We are a growing specialty food and confectionery company known for its high‑quality products, creative flavors, and strong commitment to customer delight. As the company expands its production and distribution operations, we’re seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and strong data integrity across all inventory processes.

📦 Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist will oversee all aspects of inventory accuracy, movement, reconciliation, and reporting for us. This role requires hands‑on experience using NetSuite for inventory management, cycle counts, reporting, and process optimization. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced production/warehouse environment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records in NetSuite, including adjustments, transfers, receipts, and usage.
Perform regular cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile variances.
Monitor stock levels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and product traceability.
Ensure proper documentation of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished goods.
Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Procurement, and QA teams to maintain inventory integrity.
Generate weekly and monthly inventory reports from NetSuite for leadership review.
Assist in implementing inventory process improvements and best practices.
Support audits and provide data for compliance and quality assurance needs.
Troubleshoot NetSuite inventory issues and partner with IT or NetSuite admins when needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage environment.

🎓 Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, supply chain, or related field.
Required: Hands‑on experience with NetSuite inventory modules.
Strong understanding of inventory processes (FIFO/FEFO, lot tracking, raw material handling, etc.).
Proficient with Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus).
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
Experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or a regulated environment (preferred but not required).

💪 Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, or lift up to 30 lbs as needed in warehouse or production settings.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
