Job Title: CNC Operator (Eyewear)
Salary: $25/hr.
The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400+ businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields.
A Brooklyn based eyeglass manufacturer is seeking a full-time CNC Operator.

Education and Experience:

1 year of experience in CNC operation or similar occupation

Highschool diploma or associate degree

Spanish language skills are a plus.

OSHA certification is a plus.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Roles and Responsibilities:

Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle

Control and adjust machine settings (speeds & feed rates)

Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines

Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools

Test operation of machines
-
Fix issues that might occur during the shift

Keep records of approved and defective units or final products

Maintain Activity logs
-
Monitor raw goods, always making sure to be appropriately stocked
