Job Title: Porter

Salary: $19 p/h
A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a Porter. We are a family owned and operated manufacturing company that has been in business since 1945. We are seeking a full time Porter who can clean and maintain the entire facility in a timely and accurate manner.
Hours – 9-530PM Monday – Thursday; Friday – 830-5PM
***This role is located with an off the yard employer in Red Hook, Brooklyn***
Duties/Responsibilities:
-Clean and conduct maintenance on the entire facility
-Dispose garbage appropriately
-Maintain other rental properties
-Must follow OSHA safety rules and procedures
-Clean and maintain kitchen area
-Clean and maintain locker room
-Perform other duties as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
-Time Management
-Neat and organized
-Ability to work in a team atmosphere
-Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner to achieve intended objective
-Ability to adapt to change
-Working Conditions:
Manual dexterity to handle parts / items
May have to carry heavy items
Must be able to see markings on metal at close range to ensure quality control
Must be adaptable and willing to cross train
