Job Title: Shop Associate
Salary: $21/hr.
The Albert C. Wiltshire Employment Center recruits qualified candidates for positions within the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 300-acre industrial park housing over 400+ businesses within the manufacturing, food, media, technology, and creative fields.
A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based public space designer and fabricator is looking for a full-time permanent Shop Associate to help the shop manager keep work areas clean, go out on delivery and supply runs via the company van, and work on projects to improve the processes and outlook of the shop.
Overview
The position requires the following physical abilities:

Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs to a height of 3-4 feet.

Ability to work continuously for 2-3 hours standing up.

Maintain a high level of communication as a team member, and keep cool during stressful situations.
You also need to meet these mandatory requirements:

Must speak English (ESOL acceptable).

Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent knowledge, skills, experience, or training certification.

Have a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Motor Vehicle Record check required.
This entry-level position is eligible for overtime, you won’t typically work more than 40 hours per week.
