Job Title: Prepress Technician
Employment Status: Full-Time
Salary: $25 p/h
A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a is looking for an experienced Prepress Technician. A candidate should be experienced in setting up and ripping files for Wide Format, Packaging and Sheetfed production. This individual will have the skill set to efficiently utilize advanced features in the Adobe Suite as well as other third-party solutions to process work quickly and accurately in a high-volume production environment. We are seeking an individual with experience in process improvement and workflow automation. This individual will collaborate with manufacturing and management to integrate / implement new systems and automate redundant tasks utilizing tools such as Enfocus Switch, Phoenix, Pitstop, AppleScript or JavaScript with the goal of improving consistency, accuracy and throughput.
Responsibilities:
-This individual will have the skill set to efficiently utilize advanced features in the Adobe Suite as well as other third-party solutions to process work quickly and accurately in a high-volume production environment

Qualifications:
• Must be proficient with the Adobe Suite of products (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Must have RIP software experience (for example: Caldera, Onyx, Print Factory)
• Must be reliable and have a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
• Must have Wide Format or related experience in the graphics industry
• Good punctuality and attendance
Essential Requirements:
• Good math skills (calculating scales and understanding measurements easily)
• Follow all quality assurance procedures, verify job instructions, and double check file setups
• Multitask and prioritize based on business needs
• Proven experience working in a team environment
• Overtime and weekend work required as needed
