A Brooklyn Navy Yard-based electrical company is seeking a full-time, permanent CAD Operator. The company provides professionally executed electrical contracting services for municipalities in the New York City area.
Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Operator in Brooklyn, NY. The CAD Operator will be responsible for creating and modifying engineering drawings and schematics using CAD software. The CAD Operator will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure the accuracy and completeness of drawing packages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Creating and Modifying Electrical Shop and As-built Drawings in AutoCAD
- Creating and Modifying Electrical Shop and As-built Drawings in 3D using BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Comply with MTA Specification and Drawing Standards
- Drawing Log Management, Record Keeping
- Visit Gob Sites
Qualifications
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in Revit and other BIM Software
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
- Knowledge of MTA Standards is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant filed a plus
- Proficient in Bluebeam a plus
