Oscar Odom III
Oscar is the Vice President of Security at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
Every day I am presented with a great opportunity to lead Yard's Security team in a historic, exciting, and thriving environment.
Prior to joining the Yard, Oscar served as a Chairperson and College Professor in Criminal Justice and Emergency and Disaster Management at several New York City colleges. Oscar has also served as the First Deputy Commissioner for the New York City Sheriff’s Office and is a retired New York City police detective. He holds a bachelor’s degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Juris doctorate degree from City University of New York School of Law, and a doctoral degree in education.
