Job Title: Customer Service Specialist
Employment Status: Part-Time
Salary: $24 p/h
A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join their team. We are a growing e-commerce fashion brand that creates menswear-inspired apparel fit for a range of female, trans and non-binary bodies. We are based in Brooklyn and are looking for someone who is passionate about helping build and grow an e-commerce brand with amazing customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with manager to provide knowledge, assistance, and recommendations to customers
- Able to problem-solve and brainstorm ways to de-escalate customer issues
- Provide exceptional customer service in a timely fashion
- Process returns from customers
- Ability to maintain individual task list, and be an independent worker
- Handling daily administrative tasks
- Providing support for customers via online chat
- Helping customers select suitable merchandise for themselves and as gifts and give sizing recommendations based on our company data
- Stay up to date on new products and company news by attending meetings and following outward communications
- Establish positive relationships within our small group of team members.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of customer service or account management experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills (MSWord, Excel).
- Familiar with online ticketing systems,
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical problem solving with ability to multitask.
- Strong listening skills and ability to empathize with an individual’s experience
- Team player with a willingness to learn and jump in where needed
- Bonus: familiar with e-commerce
- Bonus: Experience in fashion
