A Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation employer partner is seeking a Warehouse Associate. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our operations team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, including building and processing pallets for outbound shipments, loading/unloading trucks and containers, and receiving raw materials. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using our Warehouse Management Software (WMS) and communicating in both English and Spanish.
Key Responsibilities:
Palletizing & Shipping:
-Build pallets according to order specifications and prepare for shipment.
-Process outbound shipments using our Warehouse Management Software (WMS).
-Label, wrap, and stage pallets in preparation for loading.
Loading & Unloading:
-Safely load pallets onto outbound trucks.
-Unload incoming containers and verify shipment contents.
-Handle both palletized and small-parcel deliveries.
Receiving & Inventory Input:
-Receive incoming shipments of raw materials.
-Verify items received against packing slips or invoices.
-Input received inventory into the Warehouse Management Software promptly and accurately.
-Organize received goods into appropriate storage locations.
General Warehouse Duties:
-Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
-Assist with inventory counts and audits.
-Follow company safety procedures and standards.
Requirements:
-Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
-Ability to operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
-Comfortable using warehouse management software.
-Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
-Strong attention to detail and time management.
-Bilingual – English and Spanish fluency required.
-Must be a team player with good communication skills.
Schedule & Compensation:
-Full-time position; Monday through Friday (40-hour week). Overtime may be required during peak periods.
