Stephanie Báez
Stephanie is the Senior Vice President of External Affairs, overseeing the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation’s Marketing, Communications and Government and Community Relations efforts. Stephanie is a seasoned communicator with over a decade of experience in strategic communications, crisis communications, media relations, coalition building, messaging development, and event planning and execution.
Stephanie worked for several Members of Congress, where she worked on pressing national issues such as criminal justice reform, safeguarding women’s reproductive rights, and protecting voting rights. After her time in the federal government, Stephanie returned to her hometown to help lead public affairs at the New York City Economic Development Corporation. At NYCEDC, Stephanie led crisis communications/rapid response and enjoyed working on major real estate and infrastructure projects that have shaped New York City’s landscape.
Stephanie is a City and State 2016 rising star, a 2019 Stony Brook University 40 Under 40 honoree, and a 2023 amNY Power Player.
